2023 Recap

The 2023 Lawn & Landscape Technology Conference had something for everyone. Whether it was on the trade show floor, within the education sessions or even during some casino free time – the conference treated attendees to countless networking and learning opportunities across three days at the Paris Las Vegas.

Artificial intelligence expert Kevin Surace started his keynote speech at the Lawn & Landscape Technology Conference with some bad news — the labor shortage isn’t going anywhere. But landscapers can leverage evolving AI capabilities, and Surace showed them how, suggesting anything from website content creation to design programs that can immerse clients in their dream backyards.

Other conference highlights included Avalon Landscapes’ GM, Sean Cooke, telling attendees that technology helped his company cut down on inefficiencies like overtime payments and inventory management. Plus, Todd Reinhart told a crowded session on data analysis that hiring someone to sift through all the numbers should produce the right KPIs, not just a bunch of numbers that ultimately confuse the company leadership. Panelists on Friday highlighted new capabilities with battery-powered equipment and autonomous mowing, and they illustrated ways to implement them into your operations.

“It’s the only conference that really focuses on technology,” says Adam Frederico, owner of Frederico Outdoor Living. “So, it’s a great opportunity to talk with those that are trying to be at the forefront of their industry and adding hardware, software, and everything to make their business better.”

The 2024 Lawn & Landscape Technology Conference will be held at the Signia by Hilton in Atlanta from July 23-25. Registration opens soon, so don’t miss your chance to be among the industry’s best minds around all facets of technology.
