2020 Recap
Lawn care and landscaping professionals from around the globe gathered to network, learn, and interact with the latest technology on the market at the inaugural Lawn & Landscape Technology Conference, Feb. 19-21, 2020.
More than 300 attendees met in Orlando to hear from green industry thought leaders and business-savvy entrepreneurs to learn how technology can better their business. A sold-out exhibit hall showcased cutting-edge software systems, products, and business solutions to help the industry bring their companies up to speed.
“The very first booth that I stopped at, they had the solution for 95% of the problems that I’ve been complaining about for months and months,” said Kyla Shokunbi of Total Property Management.
Produced by Lawn & Landscape magazine, which brings a background of nearly 40 years of industry knowledge, the conference provided more than 15 educational sessions, three of which were geared specifically for LCOs.
During the two-and-a-half-day event, attendees heard from Pam Dooley, CEO of Plants Creative, as she explained how implementing robotic mowers has opened new business doors for her company. Michael Mayberry, chief technical officer for Level Green shared how companies can utilize the knowledge of a CTO to enhance performance and bolster profits.
“It was about time we did a conference like this - fully dedicated to technology in lawn and landscape. (I) enjoyed every minute of it, (with lots) of excellent speakers and great networking,” said Arun Aggarwal of Rent A Gardener, Inc.
With several tiers of registration available, the All-Access Pass registration allowed attendees to access post-show videos of each education session. “I tried to take notes as fast as possible, but it was impossible. Some of them were so amazing, I can’t wait to go back and watch them,” said Dr. Rodney St. John, vice president and agronomist for Ryan Lawn & Tree Care.
