2022 Recap

The 2022 Lawn & Landscape Technology Conference headed west this past August to the Fairmount Scottsdale Princess in Scottsdale, Arizona, for 2 ½ days of focused education, high-power networking and a look at the latest technology and solutions that are shaping the future of the landscape industry.

The energy was almost as hot as the temperatures, as attendees enjoyed more than 15 hours of education from industry experts and fellow veteran business owners.

Session highlights include keynote speaker and emerging technology strategist, Jack Shaw, who spoke about big picture technology as well as industry specific innovations landscapers should know about. Wade Gerten spoke to a packed room about the top problems that can be solved today with technology and provided a roadmap for building a modern landscaping company that can meet the expectations of customers and employees.

Panel discussions filled out the final half day, with panelists discussing the latest in autonomous mowing, battery-powered equipment and employee engagement through technology. All three received plenty of audience participation as attendees took advantage of the Q&A format.

“If you want to be the leader in the industry, if you want to get that edge on your competitor, and get better employees, this is the place to be,” says Brad Stephenson, co-owner and general manager at Newcastle Lawn and Landscape. “One thing that we saw is when you're working with technology, you're bringing in better quality people.”

Lawn & Landscape Technology Conference is produced by the award-winning Lawn & Landscape magazine.
