Nick Gage, is a native Texan with over 25 years of experience in the landscape industry. He received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Texas Tech University. He began his career as a Land Planner/Landscape architect, having the opportunity to design and build world class projects both domestically and internationally.

Nick is blessed with an amazing family: his wife Jessica is also in the landscape industry, his 17-year-old son Logan is passionate about soccer, and his 13-year-old daughter is into basketball and lacrosse. When not focused on growing the future of Maldonado, Nick enjoys fly-fishing and chasing redfish on the Texas Coast. Nick prides himself on having a strong work ethic, great attention to detail, and a positive attitude.

His early years in the design side of the industry aided his transition to the Landscape Construction Industry, and he has had the opportunity to hold leadership roles in several of the top 100 landscape companies and design firms in the country. Nick is the President of Construction for Maldonado Nursery and Landscaping, Inc. Maldonado employs more than 500 employees, and services San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi, Houston, Dallas/Fort Worth, and the Rio Grande Valley. Maldonado is also one of the largest family-owned landscape and irrigation contractors in the South Texas region as well as one of the largest privately held Hispanic businesses in the United States.
